“MilaBlue” is a poetic time to have a chance to escape the thrum of the activity outside in order to find a place to create a strong sense of detachment and to rest our minds and our thoughts. In an atmosphere which is far from the environment of the fair and takes visitors in a complete different world, creating a feeling of mystery, leading people to experience a “pause” and to explore a different approach of art, beauty and unknown traditions in the middle of the fair.

The installation could recall a “heavenly sanctuary”, back to nature, to tradition. A moment when we take time to look, to let ourselves go, far from the turmoil in a calm environment which we have to respect and protect.

The architecture, composed of wooden stilts and ladders, is inspired by an African fishing scene, where long three-meter bamboo rods rise up to support nets to dry fish. As they glitter, flashing through the crystal water which enhanced by the blue colour of some neon words, giving its full sense to the message “Moment of Silence”.

The neon creates a contrast with the more natural and traditional section of the wood and water installation. It brings back visitors to the better known environment of contemporary art, their electric mechanism belong to our modernity while the use of words are a timeless way of expression where words open a door to meditative reflexion.
